John Snow

About this Craftsperson

John Snow is a native Virginian who always had a passion for woodworking. After serving in the U.S. Navy and then retiring from two careers—one as a physician assistant for the federal government, and then as a deputy sheriff—he decided to follow his passion for woodworking. This started with his first class at MASW in 2018 and now, after thirty-some classes, earning his Master Woodworker in 2022, and being awarded MASW Student of the Year on two occasions. He now spends time in his home shop making small pieces of furniture, taking classes, and volunteering at MASW; supporting veterans’ organizations; and, most important of all, spending time with his four grandchildren and making things for them. John is very active in supporting our veterans and first responders and is a member of Send Me Outdoors veterans’ organization, serving as their liaison/coordinator with MASW.
