Laritza Janiga Garcia brings a splash of color to the world of metalwork. Known for her bold, painterly finishes and inventive surfaces, she brings play and storytelling into every class. With over a decade of teaching experience, she leads national workshops that make powder coating approachable and full of creative potential. Her practice blends traditional techniques with personal narrative and a fearless use of color. Her work has been featured in Metalsmith Magazine, American Craft, and 500 Necklaces, and is held in the permanent collections of the Mint Museum, Racine Art Museum, and the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. She teaches in the School of Art at Texas State University and maintains an active studio practice in Austin, Texas. She continues to explore the ways color and material can express personal meaning through contemporary jewelry.
