Christian Brisepierre
About this Craftsperson
Christian Brisepierre has always loved working with his hands. When he came to this country as a dancer in Las Vegas, Christian found he couldn’t afford the furniture he liked and didn’t like the furniture he could afford—so he started to make his own. That led to a second job as a custom furniture maker, which in turn led him to open the Woodworker’s Emporium, a woodworking and woodturning store that Christian started with his wife. Together they have managed their store for over 30 years. Over the years he invited many professional woodturning teachers to teach in his own workshop. He has taken classes at the Escoulen School in France. Christian is now retired and spends most of his time in his shop at the lathe.
