Chris Green

About this Craftsperson

Chris Green is an engineer who started building plastic models around age seven. He began using an airbrush in his teenage years. Chris’s modeling interests vary from cars, sci-fi, aircraft, and WWII naval models. His most recent completed project was a 1/8-scale 1907 Fiat Grand Prix car. It was completed with wood-spoke wheels and floors, leather-upholstered seats, and numerous hand-fabricated details in brass and copper. His current in-process projects include a 1/200-scale USS Hornet complete with the Doolittle Raid planes on deck, a 1/8-scale model of Emerson Fittipaldi’s Lotus 72, and various 3D-printed resin projects. He recently exhibited four models at Wonderfest in Louisville and came home with three silvers and a merit award. Chris has been a student at MASW for six years, has completed his master’s, and is pursuing the Lacer Turning Fellowship.
