Melissa Galbraith is the fiber artist behind MCreativeJ. She was born and raised in the desert of Washington state, where her mother instilled a love of making things by hand at an early age. While Melissa has dabbled in many art forms, she rediscovered her love of hand embroidery in her mid-20s. She now shares her love of nature through whimsical and modern hand-embroidery kits, hands-on workshops, and her DIY embroidery books: How to Embroider Texture and Pattern, DIY Embroidered Shoes, and 3D Botanical Embroidery & Stumpwork. Melissa loves that there is always something new to try and explore with hand embroidery. She enjoys sharing needle arts with fellow makers and especially loves that “aha” moment of helping you learn something new.
