Russell Bremmer

About this Craftsperson

Russell Bremmer began woodworking at the age of 11, making birdhouses, dog houses, bookcases, and side tables. Being entirely self-taught, the birdhouses stayed vacant, the dog slept in the yard, the shelves leaned, and the tables wobbled. It was a learning experience. Life took a sidetrack through school, college, family, and an Air Force career in radars, secure communication systems, and tactical operation centers. Russell continued his woodworking self-education through books, magazines, and the woodworking shops available on most military bases. After leaving the Air Force, he took advantage of professional woodworking classes at many craft schools. After seeing Marc’s demonstration at the Tampa Woodworking Show, he started classes at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking, earning his Master Woodworker certification in 2024. Russell is now the president of the Space Coast Woodturning Club. His next goal is to complete the Woodturning Fellowship at Marc’s school.
