If it is adrenaline you seek, this is the class. This workshop will introduce students to the exciting world of hot glass and offhand glassblowing. In this intensive two-day class, students will get a look back at the history of the studio glass movement, learn the proper use of tools, and, of course, practice hot shop safety. Collaborating in teams of two, students will begin working with molten glass. Starting with the solid form, each student will make paperweights and then progress into blowing glasses, vases, and bowls.
