Scrappy Snacks:

Small Designs with Big Impacts

with Timna Tarr

$550

$10 material fee payable to Timna

Workshop Description

Learn how to make these strippy, stripey, scrappy circles in a creative and fun environment. While the techniques used are simple enough for a beginner, more experienced quilters will be challenged by using color and pattern in very intentional ways. The foundation-pieced circles are just like snacks-you can’t have just one! Color theory and practical design are essential elements in the class. By the end of the workshop, students will know how to make an appliquéd circle that is actually round and be well on their way to making a circle quilt that is unique. The workshop is beginner friendly. Participants should have basic quilting skills, such as the ability to sew blocks together with a 1/4″ seam and know how to use their sewing machine. Come prepared to play, experiment, and have fun.
