Workshop Description

This workshop goes beyond merely teaching Eastern joinery; it offers a wealth of skills that will enhance students’ woodworking techniques. Participants will work on creating a 16” tall sculpture made using interlocking joints that can be showcased alongside other display pieces. The class will cover crucial aspects such as perfecting layout, a comprehensive guide on using the Eastern handsaw, and chiseling techniques employed by temple-building joiners. Additionally, it will explore various methods for cutting joints simply, regardless of the complexity of their shapes.
