$550 tuition + $50 material fee
Workshop Description
In this fun, hands-on weekend class, students dive into the world of flameworking while creating a lively menagerie of small animals and sea creatures. Using clear glass as a base, participants learn to shape and sculpt forms such as fish, jellyfish, turtles, mice, ducks, and birds, then bring them to life with colorful frits and glass rods. Each project introduces different techniques for shaping, sculpting, and decorating in the flame, while also building a solid foundation in torch operation, safety, and basic glassworking skills. By the end of the weekend, students leave with a collection of charming glass critters and the confidence to continue exploring the exciting possibilities of flameworking.
