Workshop Description
Get ready for harvest season by preparing two baskets for the season. The quick and satisfying twined onion basket can be customized in shape and weave to accommodate all sorts of produce needs. The open weave makes it quick to create and allows for airflow to store your produce and minimize mildew. Add a woven loop to hang it in the kitchen or learn to hand-twine cordage to tie a cord and wear your basket for hands-free gathering outdoors. The trug is a very fancy advanced rib-style basket with a handle, ready to be a workhorse in the garden. This will take up most of our weekend, as students will learn many advanced skills on a more complex structure, with options to incorporate other materials, stain or color, and add embellishments as desired.
