Gary has been working as a trim carpenter and builder all his life. He will share that buying his first Woodmaster was one of the best business moves he ever made. Gary will share how he has grown his business, kept busy in tough times and become recognized as an expert on interior millwork with the help of his Woodmaster.

Afternoon

Session 1 - Creating Exceptional Trim Details Using Kreg Joinery; 1pm–2pm

Gary credits interior trim details for the growth of his custom home building business. Often he gets the job because prospective clients love the way his houses look on the inside. Most of the attention getting details he is known for feature frame and panel construction with Kreg joinery. In this session Gary will start by covering the fundamentals of Kreg joinery and the steps he takes to guarantee great results every time. Learn how Gary uses Kreg Joinery to speed up his projects. See how Gary can change the look of any project by working with different moldings or even modifying standard moldings. You won’t believe how easy it is to create columns, mantels, doors, storage units and wall paneling using frame and panel construction with Kreg joints.

Session 2 - Six Steps To Building Specialty Cabinets And Built In’s With Kreg Joints; 2:30pm–4pm

Over his thirty five years of experience as a trim carpenter Gary has developed a simple system for building cabinets. Following these six steps you will be able to build almost any type of cabinet. Gary will present an overview of his methods of cabinet construction and then walk through the steps to build a vanity cabinet including building doors. Most of the projects Gary builds have a furniture look so there will be a special emphasis on using moldings to dress up cabinets. Designing cabinets with a story pole, joinery options for cabinet box building, building cabinet doors, and adding paneled ends to cabinets will all be covered. This presentation will change the way you think about building cabinets!
