About this Craftsperson

Teresa PerlebergĀ is a needle felting sculpture artist and founder of Bear Creek Felting. She began raising sheep and needle felting in 2006, discovering a passion for sculpting with wool that soon grew into a thriving business. By 2008, she had launched Bear Creek Felting, offering kits, supplies, and her own creations—all made with wool from her flock of Romney, Cormo, CVM, and Corriedale sheep on her family’s North Dakota farm.

Through her website, an online Needle Felting Academy, and shops across the country, Teresa has introduced thousands of people to the art of needle felting. Her work and farm life have been featured inĀ Better Homes and Gardens,Ā Mary Jane’s Farm,Ā Sheep, Australia’sĀ Homespun,Ā The FurrowĀ by John Deere,Ā The Wall Street Journal, and more.

When she isn’t teaching or designing new kits, Teresa can be found helping with the sheep, knitting, spinning, dyeing, or drawing inspiration from the animals and prairies that surround her
