What woodworker hasn’t dreamed about the thrill of running a log through a sawmill and pulling off a perfect board? Here’s your chance! In this two day hands-on workshop, the class will learn how to set-up, operate and maintain a professional portable sawmill. Join the team of technicians from Wood-Mizer®, (America’s leading manufacturer of portable band sawmills) as they teach students how to transform logs into lumber. The Wood-Mizer® team will also discuss the proper technique for stacking, storing and drying raw material. This is not a class to sell sawmills, instead it is a workshop designed to help students learn about the milling, storage and drying process of wood. There will be a special faith based program on Sunday morning for those who are interested. Wood-Mizer® is an employee owned company that is not afraid to share their faith; which is apparent with the donation of over 500 sawmills to missionary work across the world.
There is an annual, nonrefundable registration fee of $45.
This registration fee is not a part of the class fee and is not deducted from the final balance due. This is the financial binding that locks you into the class and starts the registration process. This fee does not apply to students who only take one single day workshop.
