This class is for anyone who wants to look into the world of turned sculpture and wall hangings. Students will use a mixture of wood turned, carved, colored and textured surface applications that will culminate into a unique wall sculpture. Use of metal reactive paints, guilts, airbrushing, carving will enhance each work on this artistic journey and students should expect to take away at least two completed sculptures at the end of the class. Nick has been making wall sculptures for over 25 years and he is always amazed at the variations possible. Students will be encouraged to use and develop their own designs. Nick will start with a structured approach, so everyone feels comfortable with the turning part of the workshop, then move on to the surface and the possibilities available.
