The class will be fast paced and fraught with fun. Jeff has set the goal for each student to make at least four unique puzzle boxes. Students will learn new skill sets with each piece they do. Jeff will provide a variety of special woods which will make each box exceptionally interesting. Each day Jeff will start with a brief discussion, followed by a practice session where he will introduce and make new cuts. Students will then be challenged to make the box of the day which will include Jeff’s Cash Box, The King’s Safe, The Two Drawer Hider and the Round Drawer Puzzle Box. The goal of the week is for everyone to completely craft four boxes then use a Danish oil pre-finish and get them to the point where they will be ready for a final finish when they return home. This class will not only include bandsaw techniques but will incorporate the use of magnets and springs into the projects. During the week students learn something new, make something cool and have fun!
