Learn the age-old art of being a Cordwainer. This workshop begins with an introduction to the history of the Cordwainer Shop, founded in 1925. The Pathfinder oxford uses the original tin patterns from the 1920’s. From start-to-finish, the process is 100% hands-on shoe work. Students choose from an array of beautiful leathers and their Pathfinders will be made to exact foot measurements. Learning how to cut the leather, lace the uppers, and hand lace the soles to the uppers, the final product will have students feeling amazed and proud of their unique footwear. Open to all skill levels, some hand strength is needed since the entire shoe is laced by hand.
