In this over-the-top weekend with Michael, students will learn how to make teapots that have a personality all on their own through creative exploits of the materials and personal expression. Everyone will be given the opportunity to investigate the use of multiple techniques that can be combined to make their work exclusive and unique from spouts to legs. Michael will share ideas for surface design and how it relates to form and different techniques of coloration and texturing. Not only will this class focus on the lathe, but it will also show ways of combining other techniques of bending wood, using lamination, steam and composite materials in your tea pot creations.
There is an annual, nonrefundable registration fee of $45.
This registration fee is not a part of the class fee and is not deducted from the final balance due. This is the financial binding that locks you into the class and starts the registration process. This fee does not apply to students who only take one single day workshop.
