about this workshop
MASW has had great success in the past with the Child and Parent turning class as well as a similar class for couples. The concept behind these classes was to have a team of two on one lathe to design and execute a number of projects in a two-day workshop. Sometimes one or both of the team members had turned before, in many cases neither had ever stood at a lathe. Now for something different: any team of two can sign up for this adventure whether best friends, neighbors, co-workers, couples, spouses, siblings, parents/grandparents and kids, teens, young adults (ages 10 to 110) or other relatives. Any level of experience is welcome. During the weekend each team will complete at least five of the following turned objects: weed pot, basting brush, screwdriver, stick pen, spurtle/muddler, Christmas ornament or spinning top.
