More Information on this Workshop

Tea Time small projects can pack a big punch, both with design and learning opportunities. In this two-day workshop students will learn to design and make mitered tea boxes with an emphasis on using form, color and texture. Student will learn how to select and prepare material to emphasize the natural beauty of the wood. Owain will then demonstrate ways to do accurate and efficient joinery, and how to cut perfect miters on small parts. Assembly and glue-up strategies will be discussed to ensure tight miter joints. Finally, students will explore methods of using color and texture to complete the designs, along with food-safe finish options.
