Description

We’ve all got one. That collection of odds and ends in our workshops that we just can’t part with because “It might be good for something” or “It’s too neat to throw it away”. The idea is to take our Magpie-ish love of these interesting treasures and finally create something worthy of coming inside the house! Found Object Art describes art created from undisguised, but often modified, everyday products or objects that are not normally considered materials from which art is made (often because they already have a non-art function). The goal for this class is to unleash your hidden creative potential by learning how to design, assemble and ENJOY your junk. Learn to think outside the box… or better yet, learn how to transform that box into a robot, spaceship, racecar, ray gun or anything you can imagine.
