Come enjoy a creative weekend where students will learn how to take printed images or text and transfer them to wood and other materials such as furniture, turnings or artwork. Learning how to transfer images can change the dynamics of a project. Student can bring their favorite pictures, quotes, or drawings to transfer to any chosen material. Students will be provided with sample boards to practice on but are encouraged to bring their own wood projects as well. Lighter colored and closed grained woods work best, but experimentation is encouraged. This is a technique that would be incredibly fun to share with your child or grandchild. All materials we will use in the transfer process are non-toxic and safe for any age. There will be discussions and samples to view of optional topcoat finishes to protect your image transfer. Expand your repertoire of techniques and have some fun in the process.
