This is a wonderful opportunity for a parent or grandparent to learn and turn with a child as a partner. This two-day class will cover basic lathe operations, the use of three basic tools, joint projects and a heavy emphasis upon safety. Each parent/child team will design and turn at least four of the following items: screwdriver handle, spinning top, weed pot, stick type writing pen or Christmas tree ornament. This class is open to all skill levels and is intended for participants to learn a bit about turning and have a great time in the process. This class is suitable for children ages 9—17 and has been a very popular course in the past, so make sure to sign up early.
