This is a wonderful opportunity for a parent or grandparent to learn and turn with a child as a partner. This two day class will cover basic lathe operations, the use of three basic tools, joint projects and a heavy emphasis upon safety. Each parent/child team will design and turn at least four of the following items: screwdriver handle, spinning top, weed pot, stick type writing pen or Christmas tree ornament. This class is open to all skill levels and is intended for participants to learn a bit about turning and have a great time in the process. This class is suitable for children ages 9—17 and has been a very popular course in the past, so make sure to sign up early.
There is an annual, nonrefundable registration fee of $45.
This registration fee is not a part of the class fee and is not deducted from the final balance due. This is the financial binding that locks you into the class and starts the registration process. This fee does not apply to students who only take one single day workshop.
