This six day hands-on seminar is for making a 10” x 15” x 4” customized wood keepsake box with a decoratively veneered or marquetry lid. Each student will experience the challenges and considerations of combining solid wood with veneer through hands-on experience and using machines such as a scroll saw, table saw and biscuit joiner. Paul will also demonstrate gluing and finishing techniques to complete the project. Each student should have some basic woodworking knowledge and experience on the table saw. There is no veneering or marquetry experience required, however, it is recommend that each student review Paul’s two DVD/books Decorative Veneering and Marquetry before the class. Paul is generously sending copies to those attending.
