The bandsaw can be set up to be an accurate and versatile machine. Michael will show students how to set it up and make numerous jigs that elevate using the bandsaw to the next level. Cutting three dimensional curves safely above the table, improving the bandsaw fence so that it is multipurpose, how to pattern cut straight or curved parts repeatedly, how to make incremental wedge jigs, cutting tapers of any length on the bandsaw and how to make an outfeed and infeed table to resaw long heavy timbers will all be demonstrated. Learn how to cut cylindrical and irregular shapes safely with a shop made jig. Michael swears the bandsaw will become your favorite tool in the shop!

Note: During the work week, the shop remains open after 6:00 p.m. for handwork, design, research, catch-up work and socializing.
