More Information on this Workshop

This class will use the project of a small wall cabinet to explore a variety of fine woodworking techniques. Meredith designed this cabinet as part of a series of similar cabinets with the recurring glass door pattern. While small, the wall cabinet is packed full of joinery and fine craft. Joints and skills taught will include housed tapered dovetails, cove cutting with a table saw and router, making moldings for the door design and joining those pieces, building a mitered door, and installing butt hinges. These techniques will require the use of hand tools and machines with the end result of a beautiful wall cabinet with strong joinery and delicate details.
