In this workshop John will teach students the techniques of turning a natural or wavy edge bowl. This will include advanced bowl gouge techniques and the use of cabinet scrapers to reduce sanding. Students will carve away the existing bark, if it still remains, and shape the rim to any desired look. John will then demonstrate how to use a sponge and paint in a unique way to embellish a distinctive decorative rim.
