This one day course is for the woodturner looking to improve their sharpening techniques and level up their understanding of grinding systems and tooling. The objective of this skills course is to develop the knowledge and steady hand necessary for sharpening woodturning tools while introducing students to an array of grinding systems. The use of custom jigs is permitted, however skills development and discussion will focus on freehand grinding work. With her lively demeanor and attention to detail, Savannah will safely guide students through the ins and outs of creating better bevels for clean cuts when turning. Students will leave with the technical skills and confidence to successfully sharpen their tools and elevate their turning game.

Instruction Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm (EST)
Note: During the work week, the shop remains open after 6:00 p.m. for handwork, design, research, catch-up work and socializing.
