Chef Joe Miller and his wife Ginger live on the southside of Indianapolis where they are raising their five children. Chef Joe started his culinary career at the age of fourteen working at a locally owned catering company. He is a graduate of Indianapolis’s Ivy Tech Culinary School. He continued his studies at the Culinary Institute of America and has studied the culinary arts across the USA and in France. Chef Joe has participated in national and international culinary competitions receiving several gold medals and awards for his culinary achievements. Chef Joe served as an apprentice at The Meridian Hills Country Club working under world-renowned Chef Alex Darvishi. He was also a member of the 1998 ACF culinary team that received three gold medals and won the Student National Championship. Chef Joe served as coach of the 2005 Indianapolis Junior Culinary Team and is a current member of Ivy Tech’s Hospitality Advisory Board. He was the 2005 Recipient of The Edmond Gass Award for Outstanding Service in the Culinary Arts. Chef Joe served as the Executive Chef at Meridian Hills Country Club, working there over twenty years. He then led the MASW culinary team in 2020 and is now fulfilling his lifelong dream at Our Table, American Bistro where he serves as the owner and chef.
