Donna Hill

DONNA HILL is a former project illustrator for Popular Woodworking magazine and an accomplished craftsperson. Now that she is retired from her role as a PhD Scientist, she has embraced the art & craft of blacksmithing to create her own hardware for her woodworking projects. She’s taught and presented at many woodworking shows and guilds and is well-known for her exquisite inlay work. Her shop is set up on their 35-acre farm in Verona, KY that she shares with her husband’s 1/8 scale Live Steam Trains. Donna’s interest in furniture design focuses on the details; from bell flowers and stringing to marquetry and stone inlay to the handmade hardware she incorporates into her work. She has taught basic parquetry and marquetry in the Cincinnati area and has taught and assisted several coppersmithing and blacksmithing workshops.
