Lisa Harman is a mother, wife, artist, art educator, entrepreneur and business owner. Having taught art education to various ages since 1993, she has experience in a variety of mediums. The common threads that weave all her work together are line and color. She is drawn to the intense, pure colors made popular by the Fauvists of the early 20th century. Whether working in 3D mediums like clay, jewelry, glass, or mosaic or 2D mediums such as acrylic or watercolor, you will always find her work full of swirling line and symbolic color. Lisa has a BS in Art Education from Temple University, an MEd as a reading specialist from Shippensburg University and an MFA in visual arts with an emphasis in metal spinning and enameling from Wilson College. While at Temple, quite by accident, she stumbled upon hot glass and ended up taking several glass blowing classes. Over the years she continued to take workshops to gain training in raku, jewelry and metals, enameling, ceramics, painting, sculpture and glass. Her award-winning enamel work has been juried into many shows including the Enamel Guild North East show and the Enamelist Society.

A special note about our photos:

We have taken HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of photos over the years of our students, instructors, and staff — during classes, after classes, and at various gatherings. Images of people without masks or not practicing social distancing were taken before the pandemic and before the safety practices were implemented. Please rest assured, we follow all of the safety precautions and guidelines mandated by our local and state health officials. Community means everything to us —we aim to provide a safe environment for all who teach and learn at MASW. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our practices, or would like more detailed information about the school’s health and safety guidelines, please do not hesitate to call or email us!
