Thinking Creatively to Solve Six Great Projects with Carl Booth June 25, 2022

Creative thinking for six great projects in one day! These exciting topics will include how to put a corkscrew inside a bottle, how to make a toy that follows your commands, creating a magic wand that “works”, make a cutting board or knife handle that contains hundreds of pieces of wood, “super-size” a three-dimensional intarsia project to wall size and finally a burl slab table having a redwood root ball stem with an eight piece European walnut base. Class members will discover the unique challenges each project presents and will determine their solutions. Participants should be prepared to share ideas with others and conclude the best path forward in creating each. Materials for most project will be available for purchase from Carl, if desired. The class will not be limited to these problems and discussions of others could take place.

A special note about our photos:

We have taken HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of photos over the years of our students, instructors, and staff — during classes, after classes, and at various gatherings. Throughout this brochure and on our website, you will see many photos that were taken prior to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Images of people without masks or not practicing social distancing were taken before the pandemic and before the safety practices were implemented. Please rest assured, we follow all of the safety precautions and guidelines mandated by our local and state health officials. Community means everything to us —we aim to provide a safe environment for all who teach and learn at MASW. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our practices, or would like more detailed information about the school’s health and safety guidelines, please do not hesitate to call or email us!
