Making Segmented Baskets with Tom Lohman (Tues to Sat) May 31-June 4, 2022

This workshop will cover design techniques which allows students the knowledge and experience to go beyond simple segmented patterns by providing an overview of using design software to create vessels having better form and patterns. Tom will present several jigs that can be constructed to aid in the project’s building process. He will detail tips on using the glue-up jig to create closed segmented projects with 48 segments per row and beyond. Most of this workshop will be a supervised individual project build. So, come ready to create, cut and turn.
