MASW Registration Primer


Step 1 - Finding the Right Class for You


Find a Class by Topic...

If you like to choose your classes by the topic, then our Class Search, located on the right sidebar of every page on the website is the place to go.

Click once inside the search box and type in the topic you wish to explore (i.e. "turning", "finishing", "rocking chair"), then press the return or enter key. You will see a list of all classes that include that word anywhere in it's description. If you click on the title of any class, you will find all the important information: a detailed description, dates, cost, and materials fee (if any).


OR

Find a Class by Instructor...

If you like to choose your classes by the instructor, click on the about tab at the top of any of the pages on the website and then click on instructors.

This will display a list of all of our instructors. Click on any individual and you'll get a short bio and a list of classes they are teaching. To see the details of any individual class, just click on it's title and you will find all the detailed information.

OR

Find a Class by Certification Program...

If you are pursuing one of the MASW certifications (Masters, Fellowship, or Woodturning), you can see a listing of all of the classes that can apply towards a particular program by clicking on the classes tab at the top of any of the pages on the website and then clicking on the program you are interested in (masters, fellowship, or woodturning). Click any class title to see all of it's detailed information. Don't forget to scroll down as these lists are long ones...

OR

Find a Class by Date...

If you'd just like to see a calendar of all of our classes, click on the classes tab at the top of any of the pages on the website and then click on calendar/tool lists.

This page lists all of the 2010 classes by date. Next to each class is a [Tool List] link. Click once on [Tool List] to view the required tools and class agenda. If you Right-Click and then select Save Target As... (this text varies with the browser you are using), this will download that tool list to your computer.

If you wish to see the class description and costs, follow the instructions above for "Find a Class by Topic..." Note: you can't click on the class titles on this page - but it's coming soon...

Find a Weekend Class...

To view a listing of the weekend classes, click on the classes tab at the top of any of the pages on the website and then click on weekend workshops.

Step 2 - Find Out if a Class has Openings Available


Once you've found the class you're interested in, next you'll want to know all about it. All of this information is listed under each classes detailed description. Access these by clicking on any Class Title.

You'll see a listing with the dates the class runs, the costs including the materials fee (if any), and the initial deposit required to reserve a space in the class.

I the class still has openings, you'll see an Add to Cart button. No button means the class has sold out. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list, just give Paula a call at 317-535-4013.

Next, you'll see the detailed description of the of the class.

Finally, don't forget to checkout our class calendar listing at http://marcadams.com/timeline. If you click on the Tool List for a given class, you'll get the listing of suggested tools and the course agenda (if available).


Step 3 - Register for your 2010 classes


When you are ready to register, follow the following steps...

  1. Click the Add to Cart button to place the class in your shopping cart. If you are ordering multiple classes, navigate to your next class choice and click Add to Cart, until you've added all of your classes.
  2. When you are ready to checkout, you can either a) click the Checkout button under the class description or you can click on the Shopping Cart button in the upper right corner of every page on the site. This will display a summary of the items in your shopping cart.
  3. After reviewing your order, click the Checkout button to begin the registration process
  4. If you have already registered with the new store (previous years logins have been wiped) enter your user name and password and proceed to step 6. Otherwise, click the Sign up now! button to create your secure User account. This account will be your permanent MASW user account and will not change each year.
  5. Under "Create Your Account", enter your desired username, a valid email address, and your desired password. Click the Send button.
  6. Once your account is created, you will be returned to your shopping cart where you may now add the credit card you wish to charge your deposit and annual registration fee to. Click the Add or Update My Cards button.
  7. You will be prompted to enter you personal information. Do so and press the Send button. Please review the information for accuracy.
  8. Now press the Add button under "Credit Cards on File" to add a valid credit card. Enter all the information requested and press the Send button. The site will verify your credit card information. Once approved, the card will show up under "Credit Cards on File". Note, you may register multiple cards if you would prefer to pay the deposit with one card and the balance with another.
  9. Press Checkout when you are ready to register for your classes. This will give a the summary screen. Verify the classes and credit card are correct. There is a Comments section, if there are is any information you wish to leave for us. Press the CHECKOUT button at the bottom of the page to place your order.
  10. This will bring you a confirmation page with important registration information. The invoice will also be emailed to the address you provided when creating your account.
  11. To logout of your account, press the Logout button in the upper right corner of the web site. Congratulations. You are registered for classes at Marc Adams School of Woodworking!
