Karen's Cafe - 10/12/12

I'm a bit ashamed to confess this...it's really a "black" mark on my otherwise "stellar" history here at MASW.  To be fair, I had it coming. I wasn't being very cautious and made a fairly critical mistake in my food preparation.  In my own defense, I thought this would never happen!  I mean, I NEVER set a timer...seldom follow the recipe as written. My philosophy is that I can make just about ANYTHING better.  And really, don't the students at MASW deserve the best??? I have never been disciplined before so I guess I thought I would get away with it without being censured.

I've had my Salt shaker revoked!!  Yes, that's what I said...I can no longer use the Salt shaker!!  Who does that to a cook???  I mean really..that's like cutting off my little finger....errr, well I've already done that.  But, I mean how can I cook while handicapped in that way? (I mean without the Salt shaker, not my missing little finger. I've done fairly well without that....my little finger NOT the Salt shaker.)

I don't know how long I'll be denied the use of the Salt shaker.  It hasn't been determined yet.  I suppose I won't get it back till next school year.  Man, what a DRAG!!  The Mexican Rice wasn't really TERRIBLE!  It was just a tad bit salty.  Maybe since it was still edible, the "Power's that be" will go easy on me.  Maybe I can appeal.  Guess we'll just wait and see.  Anybody know a good lawyer??

Karen ;)

Maybe you can smuggle your own in from home. Tuck it under your shirt, no one will know the wiser. :-)
