Hi folks!! Okay, so here we are... It's a mixed up week this week because we had Monday off for Labor Day. So, today is Monday- Tuesday, tomorrow will be Tuesday- Wednesday and on and on it goes till we're all totally confused and just order pizza on Sat. and call it "good." Don't ask me what day it is, 'cause I'm NOT GONNA KNOW!!
I've got to tell you what happened last week. Susie and I make up our own words sometimes because the real ones don't really work. If we have decided to "spice" up a recipe we call it "Susie-fied." I mean, don't you think "boogered up" is much more applicable than, "Oh my, the dish water is extremely cloudy. I think it's time for new water!" No, we just say that the water's "boogered up." 'Nuff said. So, I was using our chopper to chop up some carrots and celery and one of the students said, "You need to use your good knife and go to town" (or something like that). I said we have "knifery" to do that, I was just being lazy. We all looked at each other and I said, "Is knifery a word?" Well, the student got out his handy i-phone and looked it up. Believe it or not this is what he found:
1. knifery. the tool of an idiot. Knifery really is the tool of an idiot... I prefer firearms.
I'm not kidding! That's exactly what it said. You just can't make this stuff up! Well....okay, yeah I PROBABLY could, but why would I when the truth is so much better?
