The classic American Windsor style can take on many forms and this bench is modeled after that style. Noted for its delicate appearance and amazing strength, this seat can be built with a few simple tools. The students will learn to surface and detail the bench top, along with drilling and reaming the undercarriage. There will be demonstrations on sharpening chair tools, turning legs and stretchers as well as grinding your own drill bits. Applying a simple finish using shellac and varnish will also be shown. This seminar is a great introduction to making a Windsor Chair.
