Dates: 5/16 - 5/17
Tool List: Click here for tool list
Have you always wanted to learn to make jewelry but never had the time? This two-day workshop will explore beginning jewelry basics; learn to saw, file, forge, form, and finish copper, brass or silver. Each student will make earrings, pendants and a cuff bracelet. With these skills, you will be able to make more jewelry at home. This is a great class for the beginner with limited time or for those that need a refresher course. No experience necessary--just a desire to have fun and create jewelry. Students will use copper for the demos, but you can use copper or silver for additional pieces. The material fee will be based on a kit of jewelry material. Students will have the option to purchase additional materials during the class.
- How to use a jeweler's saw
- How to file and finish metal
- How to form and forge metal into three dimensional designs
