Classes at Marc Adams School of Woodworking
Classical Style Guitar with John Ressler
Dates: 9/22 - 9/28
Tool List: Click here for tool list
A classical guitar is a delicately crafted instrument designed primarily for finger-style playing. Building a classical guitar is a great way to increase your acoustic guitar building experience as you will learn new methods and become involved in the intricate details of this fine instrument. This guitar will be modeled after a traditional design classical guitar while employing modern luthier methods such as a bolt on neck. Most of the parts will be built from raw material--there will not be many pre-fabricated parts. Materials will be Indian Rosewood with a cedar top. By the end of the week you will have completed your own hand-crafted Classical Guitar that is ready to be strung. This class is a logical "next step" for those who have taken the Acoustic Guitar class.
