Dates: 9/2 - 9/6
Tool List: Click here for tool list
This workshop teaches the skills and techniques used by furniture restorers to make old furniture beautiful again. This class is a great opportunity for woodworkers who want to refinish their own furniture but don't know where to start. Tim will help each student develop a restoration plan for the furniture they bring to class and then guide the students through the steps of removing the finish if necessary, performing repairs and ultimately applying a new finish to their furniture. The class will include demonstrations on spot repair/touch up, how to disassemble and re-glue a chair and repairing veneer. This class is always fun because of the variety of furniture projects students bring to the class. You'll learn a lot just watching other students working on their furniture! At the end of the week your project will be completely restored or you will be well on the way to having your furniture completed. If you want to learn the craft of furniture restoration, this class is for you.
